The Studio Room
The interiors have been composed of a selection of 1950’s and designer furniture, renovated to a high standard and embellished with original paintings, prints and works of arts and crafts from Brighton’s best and well known artists.
A glass dining table has seating for 4 and all tableware has been custom made and hand thrown by the owner Sylph Baier, who has carefully balanced modern living requirements and comfort with artistic quirkiness, splendour and style.
Ideal for self catering, the kitchen area is fully functional and well equipped offering a 1954 electric cooker as well as a microwave grill/oven, fridge, toaster and washer dryer.
The platform bed sleeps two, has soft lighting, a tempura mattress and quality linen. As it is reached via a set of steep steps, we would not consider it suitable for small children or elderly people.
Comfortable and relaxing seating is provided by a 3-seater 1950s sofa, and there is plenty of cupboard space for personal belongings. The overall lighting is atmospheric and well balanced.
There is a small selection of books, DVDs and CDs and a contemporary flat screen TV, DVD/Video player and stereo and you can enjoy free broadband.
Cloakroom
The cloakroom is adjacent to the studio room and has hanging and storage facilities for clothes and suitcases.
Bathroom
Next to the cloakroom is the bathroom which has a bath with overhead shower, loo and basin with shaving points. It is a white suite, has plenty of storage cupboards, mirror and is clean and functional. It features a Victorian stained glass sash window and houses an extractor fan, quality accessories and towels.
General Information
All bed linen and towels are included in the price.
There is an alarm clock, ironing board and iron, hair dryer and sewing kit and many other bits and pieces which makes your stay a home from home experience.
The flat has gas central heating and all electricity and gas costs are included.
Parking in the street is free and unrestricted.
A complementary bottle of German bubbly is waiting for you on arrival.
If you are staying for more than a week, cleaning can be arranged on a weekly basis.
We can provide you with a travel cot (additional charge) and help with finding a baby sitter.
A recycle bin is provided outside the flat.

Locality
If you are thinking of self catering, Brighton is an ideal location, there are many excellent local restaurants, pubs and shops nearby.
Tennis courts and other facilities are also available in the adjacent Blakers Park and Preston Park.
It is only 10 minutes by car to the sea front or into the city centre with its excellent shopping facilities in the famous Brighton Lanes and Churchill Square area, as well as the Royal Pavilion, Museum, Brighton Pier and Brighton Marina.
We are a 6 min walk away from London Road station and well connected with buses which run into the town centre every 10 minutes.
There are several golf courses and tennis courts nearby. Many areas of interest include the South Downs Way, Devils Dyke, Ditchling Beacon and the lovely market town of Lewes.

Booking procedure:
Bookings can be made by phone and email.
Credit card charges
A booking deposit will be charged to your card at the time of booking. This will be £50 or 20% of the total stay, whichever is the greater. Deposits are non-refundable.
For bookings made within 14 days of arrival, or coinciding with certain events, full payment will be taken at the time of booking.
Please note that there is a 3.5% surcharge on payments made by American Express and a 2% surcharge on other credit cards. There is no surcharge made for payments made by debit card.
Payment
The remainder of the payment will be taken 14 days prior to arrival.

Security deposit
No additional security deposit is required, however, any incidental expenses may be charged to your credit card for breakages or additional cleaning.
Check-in and check-out times
Check-in is from 12.00 noon and check-out is by 11.00 am.
